Are you ready for 2012?

This will probably be the last update before the new year arrives, so I thought I'd make it a great one. First up, I'd like to note the passing of a jazz legend, Mr. Sam Rivers. Sam was a great jazz musician on his own, but played with some of the greats like Miles Davis. I'm playing one of Sam's best recordings today in his honor. I'm also closing out 2011 with a double shot of Sinatra for you, as well as some truly tasty jazz cuts. 2011 has been a great year for me and for Classic Voices Classic Jazz, and I have all of you to thank for that. Running this radio station is one of the best things in my life, and I can't thank each of you enough for listening. I have some fun things planned for 2012, so stick around. Now, enjoy! Here are the songs I added to the playlist on Friday, December 30th.

Frank Sinatra-Where or when
Sam Rivers-Beatrice
Karrin Allyson-How long has this been going on
Frank Sinatra-That's all
Charlie Haden-You don't know what love is
Lee Konitz-I can't get started
